I LOVE these two shots from the marathon. I'm happy as a clam, which is basically how I felt all day. My running stride looks good (they are both after Mile 17; that much I know), upper body looks strong and unfatigued, and I'm smiling! Yes, I carried my "magic wand" 26.2 miles. And it was sitting there on my waist until the last .2 miles. Every so often, I would feel something in my side, and think to myself, "Oh, that's my wand." It really didn't bother me at all the entire day! And I never did "wear" it in training, so I suppose it did have some magic in it, after all! It was part of a little girl's "princess dressup" package that I got for $1 a week before the races. I used the wand and the 2 rings (if you look closely you can see them in a few of the photos). Lots of value in that $1!!!

I just got my chang photos and hated them. never been to race that screwed up so many pictures.
